The Alutiiq Museum will be reopening its doors to the public on May 24, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. A collection of Alutiiq masks collected from Kodiak in the 19th century have returned home from France almost 150 years after they were collected by Alphonse Pinart.
Events to celebrate the opening of the mask exhibit include:
Public Opening – free admission – Saturday, May 24, 2008, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 25th, 2008, 10am – 4 pm, Admission $5.00
Monday, May 26th, 2008, 10am – 4pm, Admission $5.00
