Koniag Angayuk Scholarship & Internship through KEF

This internship/scholarship program is designed to encourage our best and brightest and promote our future leaders.

Scholarship recipients are awarded an annual scholarship of $10,000 throughout their post-secondary education. Each summer, they work for Koniag or one of our subsidiaries during a six-to-ten week internship. This award allows the student to focus on his/her field of study and gain related work experience during the summer while helping Koniag identify, cultivate, and encourage future leaders.

You may apply for this scholarship in conjunction with other KEF scholarships.

Dividends & Distributions

Koniag Shareholders who own Class A, Class B, and Class C stock receive a dividend annually in January. The amount per share fluctuates in conjunction with the Corporation’s revenues and net income received each year.

Shareholders are responsible for updating their contact information. The easiest and quickest way to make sure contact information is updated is to log in to our web portal; My Koniag.

Shareholders can participate in the Direct Deposit Program where distributions are electronically deposited into their bank account. This ensures that the Shareholder will receive their dividend and help safeguard against lost, misplaced or stolen checks. Shareholders can also set up direct deposit and update bank information on My Koniag or by submitting the Direct Deposit eForm.

Sponsorship and Charitable Giving

In the spirit of Koniag’s core value “Sharing the Catch” we are proud to have a generous sponsorship and charitable giving process. Koniag’s giving is focused in five key areas: 1) education, 2) scholarships, 3) Alutiiq culture, 4) in-region economic development initiatives, and 5) other programs that directly serve our Shareholders and Descendants. The majority of Koniag’s giving targets non-profits and tribes in the Kodiak Island area.
