Shelly Gannon-Goerisch

Shelly died unexpectedly after a short illness December 20, 2012. Her husband and love of her life, Bryan Goerisch was with her as he has been for over 13 years.

Born on April 27, 1971, Shelly was the much loved child of Bruce and Jean Gannon. She graduated from East High School and attended the Travel Academy. She worked for many years for Hawaiian Vacations and at South Central Foundations. Most recently she was employed by the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium.

Shelly was always known for her fun sense of humor, quick and infectious laugh, her love of music, and her lovely singing voice. Her beautiful smile lit up life all around her.

She was preceded in death by both her mother in 2005 and her father in 2012. Shelly missed them both very much and will be buried next to their family plots at the Anchorage Memorial Park.

Shelly’s memory, legacy of character, and love for others will be carried on by her husband Bryan and his family; her beloved grandmother, Patricia Jensen; and her many aunts, uncles and cousins in Alaska.

A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday 12/28/12 at Witzleben Legacy Funeral Home, 1707 S. Bragaw Street, Anchorage, AK. Our heartfelt appreciation to Jason for his support.
