Wild Berry Survey – for UAF Student Thesis

(January 21, 2010) Anne Miller, a student of Natural Resource Management at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, is diligently working on completion of her senior thesis and has requested assistance from natives of the Koniag region.

One of the primary inquiries covered in Anne’s thesis is how wild berries were used in the past and how these uses are still relevant in today’s society. In order to complete her work Anne must obtain surveys from a wide variety of individuals who represent various Alaskan Native cultures.

In return for participation in Anne’s anonymous survey, the information compiled within her thesis will be made readily available to our organization as well as anyone interested in learning about the historical and cultural uses of wild berries. Please note Anne will not have access to any personal information. All of the questions contained in her survey are optional and remain anonymous.
