Zack Edward Boskofsky

Zack Edward Boskofsky, 60, passed away peacefully at home on February 23, 2013 surrounded by his family.

Zack was born in Kodiak on September 8, 1952. He was raised in Ouzinkie and moved to Anchorage to raise a family.

Zack was a member of the Russian Orthodox faith. He enjoyed fishing, basketball and bingo. He liked to watch basketball, boxing, bowling, poker, game shows and hunting and fishing shows on television.

“Zack was a good man with strong moral fiber. He was a high caliber husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Zack was as strong willed and resilient as he was loving and humorous. It felt as though he was the life of the party. He will be remembered as a master story teller, leader and teacher. He always left you laughing. Zack was a very energetic, happy-go-lucky man. He had trials and tribulations like the rest of us, but always remained positive and showed us to always be happy throughout this life. He taught us it’s up to ourselves how we want to live on this earth. Our outlook and mindset determines how our days will go. Just do what you have to do to make it, but do things the right way. All you can do is try and you will never fail. He taught us to fight and stand up for what you believe, honor you parents and always be good people.”

“Do good things and good things will happen, do bad things and bad things will happen.”

“We received this gift of knowledge, wisdom, and insight all our lives. This is what Zack believed and he is right.”

“Although Zack has passed, he will always be with us in spirit. He would want us to carry on being happy and healthy. When we all find the strength to turn the last page on his chapter he would tell us, “Proud of you, Son.”

Zack is survived by his wife Carolyn; daughters Crystal, Andrea and Katrina; grandchildren Erika and Zack; brothers Billy Jr, Chris and Gary and sisters Toni and Terrie.

Zack was preceded in death by his parents William and Flora.

Services will be held on Wednesday, February 27th at St. Innocent on Turpin. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. and services at 2 p.m.

The family would like to acknowledge the ANMC Cardiology and Diabetes Center, the doctors and staff – Dr. Schnellenbaccher, Dr. Bassette, Tsu-Ching and Anne Marie. Thank you.

Zack’s final resting place will be in Ouzinkie
